Students from the School of Journalism and Communication took part in a model press conference held by the US Embassy in the Beijing American Center on December 9, 2015.

‘Representing’ eight international news agencies, including AP, BBC and Reuters, the students asked four American press officers two rounds of questions. The questions ranged from topics such as cyber security to US policy towards the Islamic State (IS).

Graduate student Zhao Chongrui said that the experience provided him with a great opportunity to understand the work of press officers and how a press conference is held.
