Students of School of Journalism, Renmin University of China won eight prizes including a first prize out of 360,000 participants in the 8th National College Student Advertising Art Competition Award Ceremony held in the CPPCC Auditorium on November 27, 2016.

        Under the guidance of Wang Shuliang, Associate Professor in the Department of Advertising and Media Economics, Chen Minhua and Du Sisi major in Advertising were awarded the national first prize of print ads via designing Say Goodbye to Unhappiness. Lu Ziteng and Zhuang Shaobao’s work Enjoy This Moment, Lin Junpeng’s work  Pizza Planet won  third prize. Yang Xuan, Long Yuchen, Chen Ziyi and Nurnisa’ paper Elle, Easy Eatery won a third prize in activity planning category. Four other teams were awarded the National Excellence Award.  Associate Professor Wang Shuliang won the Excellent Instructor Award.

        In Beijing semi-final held by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, teams from J-School received another 17 prizes.

     The National College Student Advertising Art Competition is a state level competition aiming at stimulating college students’ interests and potential, cultivating innovation, practical abilities, employability and team spirit. It is an important part of China’s teaching quality and teaching reform project.
