More than 10 teachers and students from SJC, including Hu Baijing, Vice President of Renmin University of China, visited Shenzhen Media Group for a field study on media convergence on Oct.17.

The teachers and students came to Shenzhen Media Group's base in Futian District and visited its exhibition gallery and a few departments. They exchanged experiences and campus memories with RUC alumni who worked in the Group.

Su Rongcai, deputy editor-in-chief of Shenzhen Media Group, showed its achievements in recent years and introduced the problems the Group encountered in the course of media convergence.

Hu Baijing discussed the transformation of broadcasting media on both dimensions of "strategy-product" and "function-structure". Professor Wang Runze and Luan Yimei analyzed how to promote convergence in broadcasting media from the perspectives of technology, organization, concept, and talent.
