On the afternoon of September 14, undergraduates of the year 1980 of School of Journalism, Renmin University of China returned to School to commemorate the 35th anniversary of graduation. Hu Baijing, Executive Dean of the School of Journalism, Han Xiaoning, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, together with Liu Xiayang, Ma Xiangwu, head teachers of the 1980 Undergraduate Class, and the alumni recalled the past and talked freely about the development of the college.

Teachers and students watched videos about changes of the School in a lobby on the first floor of the Mingde Journalism Building, marveling at the great changes and how fast time flies.
At a meeting room named as Hanqi Yuan of Mingde Journalism Building, Hu Baijing, Executive Dean of the School of Journalism, introduced the history and major changes of the school to the alumni, and exchanged ideas with them about the school’s recent talent training, academic research and internationalization. The alumni were excited by the development and achievements of the School, and offer advice and suggestions from the perspective of all walks of life.

The alumni also visited the experimental center, the literature center and the integrated media laboratory of the School of Journalism.
In the integrated media laboratory, everyone expressed their opinions on the construction of the integrated media platform, and discussed the current development trends of the Internet and 5G.
