On the eve of the New Year, Zhang Donggang, Secretary of CPC of Renmin University of China, Gu Tao and Hu Baijing, Vice President of Renmin University of China, visited the volunteers of the Winter Olympics and delivered supplies. On the first day of the New Year, Zhang Donggang and Liu Wei, the principal, wrote a letter to the parents and friends of the Winter Olympics volunteers. The letter answered many of the parents' concerns and firmly stated that the school would do its best to spare volunteers from worries.

On the afternoon of January 2, 2022, the School of Journalism distributed sufficient and useful life support materials to the first batch of students who set out to participate in the volunteer service of Winter Olympics in office 501 of Mingde News Building.

In order to ensure the volunteer services for the Winter Olympics, RUC meets the needs of volunteers. Supplies include: portable power supply, USB flash drive, pull device, yoga mat, massager, rechargeable emergency light, marker pen, thermos cup, canvas bag, schedule book, etc.

SJC has given full consideration to volunteers’ work, study, life, emergency, and other aspects, provided necessary material support, and gave meticulous care to every student who will participate in the volunteer service of the Winter Olympics.

On the evening of January 3rd, the first batch of volunteers serving the main media center of the SJC started their volunteer service journey. Hu Baijing, Vice President of Renmin University of China, Yang Ziqiang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, and Sun Quan, Deputy Secretary of CPC of the School of Journalism, saw the volunteers off. It is believed that every volunteer student will step into the volunteer position with more enthusiasm, carry the spirit of volunteer service, show the style of RUC journalists on the stage of the Winter Olympics, and inject power into the Beijing Winter Olympics.
