In addition, Zhou reported recent research and teaching progress of SJC from three aspects, including the determination of five research directions, the construction of a historical database, and the innovation of teaching methods.

Fang Hanqi, the editor-in-chief of this award-winning textbook, reviewed the discipline construction and textbook compilation since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. He said, “This award not only reflects the recognition of the work of the writing group but also will be beneficial to the future textbook compilation and discipline construction.”.

Li Yongqiang, on behalf of the China Renmin University Press, said Professor Fang and his team deserved this honor and looked forward to future cooperation with SJC, its most important partner with many excellent authors.

Taking this opportunity, Wu Tingjun said the educators should attach great importance to the compilation of textbooks and be proud of themselves, especially when teaching the history of journalism.
