Journalists from countries in the Pacific received professional training at RUC on November 30, 2015.

Twelve journalists from six Asian-Pacific countries, including Fiji, Tonga, and Papua New Guinea, participated in the training.

Associate Professor Xie Guihua from the School of Society and Population Studies gave a lecture on social stratification in China. Dr. Ren Yue lectured on ‘Changes in China and Global Issues: News Ideas in News Pictures.’

Participants also had a chance to communicate face-to-face with staff from a dozen Chinese media outlets, including the newspaper China Daily, news agency Xinhua and state broadcaster CCTV.

The training was hosted by the China Journalists Association and organized by the School of Journalism and Communication.
