Ten journalists from Pakistan mainstream media finished their first class in School of Journalism of Renmin University of China, later on the afternoon of Nov.26, witnessing a good beginning of their seven-day exchange program in China.

Associate Professor Zhang presided over the opening ceremony of the class

Deputy dean of the School and professor Zhao Yunze, Dean assistant and associate professor Zhang Di and foreign affair secretary Zhao Pu attended the opening ceremony.

Prof.Zhao expressed his welcome to the Pakistan press corps on behalf of the School and introduced the development history and discipline characteristics of RUC education in journalism and communication, as well as School’s international exchanges and cooperation achievements in recent years.

He hoped the journalists could learn more about China through lectures, visits and cultural experiences and make greater contributions to deepening China-Pakistan friendship and cooperation.

Journalists of the press corps are from Dawn, Combate, News, Din News TV and FM98 Dosti Channel and other medias. The journalists introduced themselves in sequence and exchanged information about program related questions.

The program was initiated by Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and the School of Journalism of RUC in 2014,planning to select 5-10 excellent media practitioners
