On the afternoon of May 8, Hu Baijing, executive dean of of J-School, and Zhou Yong, secretary of the party committee of J-School, met with Lin Yuan-Huei, Dean of the College of Communication, National Chengchi University, and of Chen Bai-ling, Associate Dean of the college. With the theme of "the approach to curriculum reform and organizational reconstruction in response to changes in the communication environment", the two sides started communication and discussion from the perspectives of discipline layout, talent cultivation, teaching and research, and management structure of the school.

Dean Lin Yuan-Huei introduced the development of College of Communication, National Chengchi University. He said that as an academic center of journalism and communication in Taiwan, the College of Communication has gradually formed its education concept and core value, and is committed to cultivating talents, creating knowledge and serving the society in the field of journalism and communication. At the same time, Dean Lin Yuan-Huei communicated with the teachers present on the problems and challenges encountered in education practice at the present stage, hoping to jointly discuss improvement plans in the fields of discipline construction, curriculum setting, training programs and teacher allocation.

Secretary Zhou Yong introduced the exploration and practice of "double first-class" construction of RUC J-School’s discipline. He said that the external situation of discipline development has undergone profound changes at the current stage, and discipline construction is facing severe challenges, and also the problems encountered by the two schools in development are highly similar. The School of Journalism of Renmin University of China is willing to work with the College of Communication of National Chengchi University to support and cooperate with each other in basic work such as personnel training, scientific research, team building, social services, international exchanges, institutional innovation and cultural development, and jointly explore and build the core values of the discipline of journalism and communication in the future.

Dean Lin Yuan-Huei and his delegation attended the "National Chengchi University Day" themed activity of RUC.  On the same day, they also visited the Research Center of Journalism and Social Development of Renmin University of China, the Experimental Center of the School of Journalism and other places. Zhang Huifeng, Wang Runze, Zhao Yunze, Deputy Deans of the School of Journalism and Communication RUC, Zhang Di, Assistant Dean, Liu Hailong, Zhou Jun and Fang Jie, teachers who have visited and communicated in National Chengchi University, Jiang Qiurong, head of educational affairs department, and Zhao Jin, secretary of foreign affairs and other officials attended the meeting.
