J-School Professor JiaWenshan gave an invited talk at the 12thAnnual Meeting of the China Association for Intercultural Communication, which was heldfrom May 27 to29at the Dalian University of Foreign Languages. The topicof Jia’s talk was “New Globalization and the Cultivation of Chinese Capability in Intercultural Communication.”

Attending scholars specialize inintercultural communication, foreign language education, foreign affairs, and other topics, and work at universities such as Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University, Chapman University, and the University of Helsinki.

The scholars discussed how to cultivate intercultural talents, and issues pertaining to foreign language education in the 21stcentury.
