On the afternoon of January 18, 2021, the School of Journalism and Communication of Renmin University of China and the School of Journalism and Communication of Henan University formally signed a cooperation agreement online.

Kan Yunchao, Vice Principal of Henan University, and Hu Baijing, Vice Principal of Renmin University of China delivered speeches respectively. Kan thanked the School of Journalism and Communication RUC for its support. Hu expressed the hope that the two schools could jointly launch a series of iconic and original achievements in academic research and create a new model of teaching and scientific research.

At the signing ceremony, Zhou Yong, Executive Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, Renmin University of China, and Yang Mengya, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, Henan University, respectively introduced the history of the two schools and signed the strategic cooperation agreement between the two schools, which marks the official establishment of a strategic cooperative relationship between the two schools.

In the future, the two schools will corporate in talent training, scientific research, academic exchanges, discipline construction, teacher and management team training and construction.

The cooperation between the two universities is carried out in the context of the cooperation between the Government of Henan Province and Renmin University of China. It is a collaborative innovation project jointly launched by the two universities for the in-depth implementation of the "Excellent Journalism and Communication Talent Education and Training Program" of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Education.
