The opening ceremony of short-term exchange program for Indonesian press corps was held in School of Journalism and Communication on October 26th. Seven Indonesian journalists and two professors of journalism will spend 9 days participating in the program.
On behalf of the School of Journalism and Communication, Vice Dean, Professor Zhang Huifeng, expressed warm welcome to Indonesian press corps. He made a brief introduction to all in terms of the journalism development history in RUC, subject characteristics and the international exchange and cooperation in recent years.
Professor Zhong Xin, representative of school faculty, made a welcome speech. She expressed her concurrence with Indonesian Professor Asty Rastiya on the will of nine-day exchange and study in China, which will help update Indonesian press corps’ knowledge about China and help them make more Chinese friends.
Professor Zhong Xin later gave a lecture on “Chinese Media Industry in Data Age” and “Mode and Case of International Media Cooperation”.
Members of the Indonesian press corps come from news agencies, newspapers, television, websites and other media and universities. They will participate in various forms of study and exchange activities in Beijing and Shanghai, including lectures, on-site visits and researches, etc.
