Students and faculty members of the J-School discussed the opportunities and challenges of educating media professionals and scholars with a delegation from Japan’s Kansai University on the RUC campus on May 28.

Five Pakistani journalists arrived on campus on September 22, 2015, for a nine-month visit. The journalists will take part in a range of activities. They will attend lectures on China and the Chinese media, study Chinese, explore Chinese culture, and visit Chinese media outlets, universities and companies. It is the second time that Pakistani journalists visit RUC. The first time was from November 2014 to June 2015. The program was enthusiastically praised by the Chinese embassy in Pakistan, RUC and the participating journalists.

Renmin University of China (RUC) has selected four books by professors in the School of Journalism and Communication for promotion overseas. The China Africa Press Center (CAPC) held the closing ceremony of its 2015 project on November 27, 2015. Journalists from countries in the Pacific received professional training at RUC on November 30, 2015. Twelve journalists from six Asian-Pacific countries, including Fiji, Tonga, and Papua New Guinea, participated in the training.
